HEAD COACHES
Robert Persechino and Helene Desmarais


           

Robert and Helene both hold NCCP Level 4 designation - the highest coaching certification achievable in gymnastics in Canada.

Robert and Helene are recipients of many Provincial and National awards such as the prestigious Gymnastics Canada's " National Stream Coach of the Year" award.

Both have over 30 years of successful provincial, national and international coaching experience.

They have produced, nurtured and supported over 40 National stream gymnasts and 12 High Performance athletes (4 National Team Members) since arriving in Manitoba in 1991.

Robert and Helene are both NCCP Course conductor and clinicians who keep on spreading their knowledge in the province and across Canada.

Under their strong leadership, Panthers has emerged as an important club in Canada, with a capable team of certified coaches nurturing athletes at every level of development.

Panthers has the largest competitive team in the province and has produced in average over 75% of the gymnasts representing Manitoba at Nationals,Westerns Championships, Western Canada Summer Games and Canada Games since their arrival.

Numerous gymnasts under their guidance have represented Canada successfully at International meets, Championships and World Championships.


RECREATIONAL CO-ORDINATOR
Desiree Loutit

           

Desiree has over 30 years of experience as a recreational and competitive coach.
She was also a gymnast for 10 years in Selkirk.
Desiree also coached in Ontario.

Now at Panthers, she co-ordinates, monitors and leads the Recreational section of the club...
That is over 400 families and 15 certified coaches.

Also, she oversees the Birthday parties and the numerous Camps offered at Panthers.

ADMINISTRATOR
Sandra Grevstad

           

Sandra has over 30 years of gymnastics experience. First as a parent of two gymnasts at Panthers, then a Coach, a Judge, then an Administrator. Sandra  also served as President of the MGA for over 8 years.
Under her strong leadership, the MGA hosted prestigious competitions such as the 1998 Pacific Alliance Championships and the Pan Am Games in 1999. She is responsible of the day to day administrative and business activities of the club.

Our coaches are all ex-gymnasts and as such have a wealth of knowledge and experience when it come to understanding what a gymnast feels and goes through.
They are constantly educating themselves in all aspect of gymnastics by participating in conferences, technical clinics, National Certification Courses and first aid courses. As well, Some coaches are mentored closely by Senior coaches and Head coaches.


OUR HEPLERS
Panthers is the club that produces and hires the most coach in Manitoba.
We have many young coaches in the making !
At this point they are undergoing tutelage and are helping in different groups.
