Competitive

Panthers offers classes for all competitive levels/streams from “Regional” up to and including “High Performance”.   All competitive gymnasts compete in the appropriate JO level and the streams are indicative to the areas and travel required for the level they compete at.   A high level of commitment on the part of both the athlete and the parents is expected at this level.

There are other costs related to these programs such as team bodysuit and track suits, competition registration fees and travel fees.

Regional Stream

Gymnasts will participate in the local competitions in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas.  Only the Provincial Championships may require travel and overnight stays within the Province as locations are determined by the Manitoba Gymnastics Association.

Gymnasts in this level will prepare to compete in JO levels 2 – 5 as they attain the required skill set and move up will be determined by scores achieved at the local competitions as guided by Gymnastics Canada and the MGA

Provincial Stream

Gymnasts will participate in the local competitions in Winnipeg and may do two or more meets out side the province.

Gymnasts in this level will prepare to compete in JO levels 5 – 8 as they attain the required skill set and move up will be determined by scores achieved at the local competitions and placement at the Provincial Championships as guided by Gymnastics Canada and the MGA.

National Stream and High Performance

Gymnasts will participate in the local competitions in Winnipeg and will do three or more meets out side the province.

Gymnasts in this level will prepare to compete in JO levels 8 – 10 and Aspire 1 & 2 as they attain the required skill set.  Move up will be determined by scores achieved at the local competitions and placement at the Provincial Championships as guided by Gymnastics Canada and the MGA.

Some gymnasts may compete at Elite Canada to become high performance carded athletes to be able to compete outside North America in order to gain a spot on the Team Canada roster.
