Panthers' Jholeen Ponce -
2002 Canadian Vault Champion
Jholeen Ponce topped the field in Vault at the 2002 Canadian Gymnastics
Championships. She did a dynamic first vault, a Chorkina, to score a 9.350. Her second
vault, a Yurchenko Layout 1/1 scored 8.95.
Jholeen, Manitoba's only Senior High Performance gymnast during the 2001-2002 season, was up against a tough
field of competitors. Being first in the country is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations
to Jholeen and her coaches Robert Persechino and Helene Desmarais.
